The training course covers the following topics:

- Trademarks
- Geographical Indications
- Industrial Designs
- Patents
- Unfair Competition
- International Registration Systems
- Protection of New Varieties of Plants
- Introduction to Traditional Knowledge, Traditional Cultural Expressions and Genetic Resources
- Intellectual Property and Development
- Discussion and Summary
At the end of each module, participants can take self-assessment tests. The results do not impact eligibility for the certificate, but help participants gauge their understanding of the course material and prepare for the final examination.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- study fully online and at their own pace;
- gain systematic knowledge of the international intellectual property system;
- engage with instructors and other participants through the course forums;
- receive dedicated guidance while working through the course materials;
- complete self-assessment tests after each module;
- take the final online examination;
- obtain a certificate of successful course completion upon passing the final examination (at least 50% correct answers).
