IP Academy Networking Club: Summary of March Meetings

Within the framework of the IP Academy Networking Club, two thematic online meetings were held, aimed at presenting educational opportunities in the field of intellectual property and fostering cooperation with the academic and professional community.

Launch of Ukrainian-language courses and new learning opportunities

On March 11, 2026, a meeting was held, organized by IP Academy jointly with the Head Office of the TISC network of UANIPIO, during which opportunities for distance learning on the WIPO Academy platform were presented.

Participants were introduced to Ukrainian-language DL courses, including:

  • DL-101 – «General Course on Intellectual Property»;
  • DL-201 – «Advanced Course on Copyright and Related Rights».

As part of the event, the formation of a pilot group for the DL-201 course was also announced. The pilot launch is aimed at adapting and improving the Ukrainian-language version of the course before its official release.

The pilot group was created to:

  • ensure high quality of the Ukrainian version of the course;
  • verify legal accuracy and correctness of terminology;
  • assess the usefulness of materials for the Ukrainian audience;
  • collect recommendations for improvement;
  • finalize the course before public launch.

English-language courses DL-301E, DL-318E, and DL-320E were also presented, covering patenting, patent information search, and drafting patent applications.

During the presentation, special attention was paid to the conditions for participation of representatives of the Ukrainian TISC network in educational programs, particularly emphasizing the opportunity to take courses on a scholarship (grant) basis.

It was highlighted that courses DL-101, DL-301, and DL-318 are mandatory for TISC network staff, while DL-320 is recommended.

In addition, participants were informed about additional courses (DL-201E, DL-302E, DL-317E, DL-730E), covering copyright, trademarks, alternative dispute resolution, and intellectual property in export activities.

Participation in these programs will contribute to enhancing professional competence and developing practical skills in the field of intellectual property and innovation.

During the meeting, participants received information about course content, practical value, and application of knowledge in professional activities, as well as engaged in discussions and asked questions to the speakers.

New season of IP Connecting Students and educational opportunities for universities

On March 25, 2026, another meeting of the IP Academy Networking Club took place, focused on representatives of higher education institutions.

During the event, the new season «IP Connecting Students 3.0: IP & Sport» was presented — a series of thematic online lectures for students dedicated to the role of intellectual property in sports, particularly in the context of brands, broadcasting, technologies, and athletes’ personal branding.

The presented materials can be used to integrate intellectual property knowledge into the educational process and increase awareness in the IP field.

The meeting also included an open discussion format, allowing participants to explore practical aspects of integrating intellectual property topics into education and to exchange experiences.

IP Academy Networking Club continues to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, presentation of educational opportunities, and building cooperation among representatives of education, science, business, and the innovation sector in the context of intellectual property development.
